I can't believe this is the first time I'm seeing that. God, I love their sense of humor. After years of UO with bards practicing everywhere, that feels oddly nostalgic.

I want the Broodmother and her horde of raptors to invade our outposts intermittently and kill us all. On death you should drop your weapon (not your actual weapon, just a sort of 'drop copy') which she can then loot.

The cries of horror at first before people checked their inventory to see their weapon still there would be most amusing as would being repeadtly farmed by raptors.

Last years quest was a reference to Terminator 1, this year the quest shall reference T2: Judgement Day!

Honestly, my favorite AFD events were the 1st one due to the surprise factor with the "sex change", the year of the Gwendolls cuz I spent half the day in Marhan's Grotto entertaining Linsey Murdock (Live Team Dev at the time) while she was working, and last years due to the change of event with a new quest. Look forward to seeing what they do tomorrow!

I thought it then, and still think it know: I would enjoy playing as a minstrel, traveling the land and amazing people with my awesome lute playing abilities. Sadly, the "You Spoony Bard" comments would likely get the better of me and force me to hang up my lute...

I think it would be great if they did a joke flux for pvp, I would certainly do some pvp just for the lols. Given the information on wiki though, I'm expecting a Terminator 2 spoof is inevitable.

Yeah, because the only proper way to do an april fool's joke is to have a visual gimmick that gets old 5 minutes into it, or even makes the entire game completely unpalatable for a day.

Or just any nearby boss at random intervals during he day.

I'd assume midnight PST, which by my clock is in 17 minutes + 4 hours.
